Planning of Part A & B

I had a hard copy of this for Mr. Andrews but I thought not to give it to him since he would check my blog anyway. I was thinking My website will be about a Super hero since I am head over heels inlove with superheroes. I’ll keep you guessing who that hero is. It was supposed to be a surprise but naaaaaah I thought I might as well just tell you other than keeping it a surprise. I'm sure the picture gave it away anyway. duuuhhh you'd have to be mentally impaired to not know. It's going to be about Iron Man, the epitome of badass.Well last year my website was on The Dark Knight. This year my website will be on Iron Man, to me I think he's Batman in the Marvel Universe. They are so alike. Both are philanthropic playboys who rely on technology to rid the world of evil. Both grew up without parents and are emotionally troubled However Batman is more responsible and grim. Not only were they so alike in heroics, both had an insane amount of money to burn. Let's not forget about Wayne Manor and Tony Stark's awesome crib on the hill in California with breath taking views of the ocean! I love Iron Man, especially his theme song by Black Sabbath. Robert Downey Jr. was the perfect actor to play him. He's born to play Anthony Stark. Such perfect casting by Jon Favreau. Probably the best in Comic History. No one can ever replace him. He's simply Irreplaceable.  So yeah my website will revolve around him.

The website will only have solid colors and the color scheme will flatter the Mark V suit. Or contrast things out so it'll look balanced.  I don’t think a lot of colors should be used in my website because it would not compliment Iron Man and his suit.  Basically colors that ehnhance the Iron Man suit and make it stand out. Black seems to be the color that makes the Mark V suit stand out. I guess everything depends if it suits with the aura of the character. I want to keep the color scheme simple. I experimented with iweb, still  having a lot of difficulty in mastering the art of iweb and I know for sure that I can't make it as awesome as the official website of Iron Man but my main objective is to make it as cool. The site will  have this technological look because the superhero relies on technology not powers and technology takes a human form in Tony Stark. It will be like yin and yang with dark and light colors. It’ll balance out. The character is not as dark as Batman but not as cheery as Spidey. So he’s in between them. The website targets comic fans and kids who dream to become a superhero.

Character Profile of Silk Spectre II

I don't know what everybody else thinks but seriously Watchmen is the best promotional website for a movie I've ever seen in my life...it's jaw dropping. Last year when Watchmen came out, being the comic fanatic that I was. I kind of went crazy for a while over Watchmen. So yeah I googled it like everyone else when they are so fixated on something...it's an option nowadays and a helpful tool to stalk things on the internet. Which I do...but only for movies I love more than my self. This website is so cool! I can't get over how awesome it is. When Mr. Andrews said you need to research two websites, I immediately knew Watchmen would be one of them because it's so different from other promotional websites. It's just so epically done. Who ever designed the website deserves a lot of credit because I went gaga over this site as a fan. I mean the character profiles was in so much depth it even had the audio of what each of the characters say in the movie and music to enhance the personality of the character. It's very entertaining for a site! I give it 5 stars for promotional effort because when I search for a movie that I really love It's so hard to get into it now because of this website. It's just gives you this feeling that your getting to know the characters in a personal level and the incompatible vibe of the website is unrivaled. I mean there are great sound effects! I love the sound when it's raining and in this website you can hear it rain and it sounds as if where you are is raining too. The website just gives you a whole new different atmosphere compared to other websites that promote a film and the the gunshot sound when you click on a different character than the yellow line slashes through the streets of New York. I have never seen anything like it. The colors chosen for the website fit very well with the film because the signature color of Watchmen is yellow and black. Everyone knows that because of that Smiley Face with Watchmen in yellow upper case letters. Watchmen is a dark film. It's very dark film with the exception of yellow and the smiley face, wait I don't think I should count in the smiley face since it was a part of The Comedian's costume. But yes with the exception of yellow Watchmen is a dark film filled wit Violence and Gore, yes I stole that from Capcom's warning before playing Classic Resident Evil. In America and world wide except Australia. Watchmen is rated R so I'm guessing you'd label Watchmen as a very dark film. But I guess in Australia it was rated MA 15+ because it wouldn't attract an audience.  My favorite character is Rorschach. I guess because I can relate to him more than any other character and seriously I'm planning to go out when I turn 18, throw on a trench coat and a mask and say Z's Journal 2012 tonight a comedian died (laughs) The site is extremely impressive especially to those who just love the comic. The use of promotional techniques is perfect. The website is priceless, fans will love it and I'm pretty sure it will bring a lot of attention to the film for people who want to watch it. The whole site is sort of a teaser, it gives you a taste of Watchmen but not enough, making you hit the theatre in a matter of seconds

The type of color scheme used are complementary colors. Colors such as soft baby blue with a combination of navy blue. White and blue are the base colors.It doesn't make me feel scared at all. I guess when you are familiar with the character you get used to Joker being an insufferable oblivion of fear. I think the color ridicules itself because it isn't necessarily dark or scary. I don't know I have mixed feelings but I'm not scared. They used warm and cool colors, it makes me happy. 

Only because these are just stills, more often than not, these posters are shown with other character posters and are placed all together. Knowing that it is Batman (which the symbol of the bat gives away) obviously the genre of the film is action. It is a movie based on a comic and targets most fans. 

The focal point is Joker because he's one of the main characters that plays a vital role in the Dark Knight. He's the ultimate nemesis of Batman and in my opinion the best villain in comic book history. 

I feel as if I need to watch this movie so bad,  everyone at the time The Dark knight was coming out everyone was excited and in the end of Batman Begins Lieutenant Gordon shows The Caped Crusader a Joker card. So we all knew there was a sequel and we were all getting ready for Joker but the character itself is not just legendary but when you see the film and Heath's performance. Words cannot express how phenomenal he was. I SAW IT THREE TIMES. The poster makes you feel like the movie will be just as epic as the first one. Is the poster very effective?  In a scale of one to 10? 10 Therefore it was beyond effective especially to those who are hardcore fans.  Some fans jumped out of fear that they changed the jokers appearance, I still favor the other Joker but I guess Christopher Nolan was going for a modern, edgy look to the Joker. Some comics started to draw Nolan's Joker now a days. If only Bob Kane was alive to see this.

After we watched our first film, it wasn’t exactly finished but it was evident that we needed to put more work into our film. I wasn’t really content with what we filmed so I thought it needed more work because the scenes didn’t really fit well together so I went home and thought of what I could do to make it better. I was thinking to change the opening sequence and add a few scenes and enhance characterization. There were a lot of failed attempts of filming my story ‘Friends and Foe’s and we hoped to not repeat that mistake for Fate. In the meantime we are fixing the story and the film to make it better. Our progress in creative media was not really on track last term. We needed to film a few more scenes because it’s way too dark. If we had studio lights it would’ve have been worked well but unfortunately we didn’t have access to studio lights, which indeed sucks! If only we had to work on the film project and nothing else it would’ve been easier. The film would look so awesome since we are flexible in putting a lot of time and effort in it. We still need to film a few more scenes. I wrote a shot list to film my death scene. 


Before my group started to film, each person in the class had to write a story then get into groups and films it. Before we did that we had to decide which story we want to film. Well since Elena and Taryn was reluctant to film their stories and said it would be better to do mine which I didn’t really like at all since it was based on boy characters not girls so I immediately knew this was going to be very difficult and we had to adjust things which I didn’t really like either. We tried filming in Australia Fair and it was exactly how I interpreted. Thank God we didn’t continue with the old story! Girls can’t be in this film unless it’s Selena or Serena (forgot the name). So I was very reluctant in filming my story as well. It was really bad and it didn’t work out.

Elena and I thought we should think of a new story. Which we did, we chatted on msn one night and we were brainstorming ideas and eventually came up with a story. We just combined a few elements from the old stories into one. This was very different for me because I’m not a people person and I am a loner so in a way I don’t like working in groups and was not comfortable at all. If I could start all over again, I would write a simple story with me working behind the camera and with other actors to play my character. I was going to do that but I didn’t know we had to work with people specifically in the creative media class. The only problem we’ve encountered is that we needed to film more scenes, re-do a few scenes and try to act better! So it will look awesome when it’s edited. I just wished we did something simple because making a film with horror being the genre is very hard.  

I ended up doing the storyboards since I was jobless for while. Elena was editing the film, Taryn was making the soundtrack and I had to colour correct the film (colour correction) I think ended up with doing the storyboards because I couldn’t color correct until Elena finished editing the film. For as long as I could remember I had this habit where I kept drawing when the teacher talks and I get into trouble for it. I also secluded myself from people and kept drawing random stuff. I guess that was the reason as to why I’m good at drawing. Okay, that just made me sound like some stuck-up drawer. Anyway it was fun, no complaints with drawing. It’s what I do to pass time. In fact I'm thinking of becoming a comic artist...maybe Katie thinks I should. We encounter a lot of issues through out the making of this film…it gets pretty hectic but we fixed things up in the end. The script was mostly improv. Before I slept, I wrote a script and told what my group should say in the scenes we were going to shoot. 

Filming is very difficult especially when you have to film over and over again. But I don’t see how this is a bad thing though because I’m learning a lot and it makes me aware of the mistakes I’ve made in the past and in doing so not making the same mistakes in the future. It’s funny because even with shot lists, it’s hard to figure out how to film. I filmed my scenes, which I hope worked well…I don’t really like being on camera though. When we finish the movie I don’t ever want to see it ever again. Hopefully it doesn’t come back and haunt me in the future especially with the social networks we have now. I knew it wasn’t going to be easy but no one said it would be this hard. I guess it was fun and bottom line is I learned a lot. I’m trying my best to do what I can but I don’t know why I feel a lot of pressure while doing this film.

We encounter so many problems with this film project. It really irritates me that we have to keep reshooting these scenes and never get it right. It looks so simple when you watch Hollywood movies but there is more to the art of movie magic than the film itself. It’s really hard. Hollywood movies have crews and people who are dedicated to their job and they have so much time on their hands. It’s different with just three people making a film with a bunch of assignments to finish. We all have different schedules. We’re always rushing and it was really hard especially when people’s personalities crash into one another. The problem is so many things are out of place and I kept panicking. Bottom line is this project is really hard. Anyways we managed to film what we needed to film. They say hard work pays off and I’m sure it’s true.

I never liked school. I try to but I don't fit in. No one seems to be interested in the things I really love and are more interested in the things I loathe. Social networks, partying, socializing and b.o.y.s. I only have one close friend. I feel like the dude in diary of a wimpy kid. All I'm trying to say is group work is challenging and filming is pretty hectic as usual but I think its dedication that kept me going. The reason why I’m so interested in film because ever since I was small I isolated myself from people and just watched movies. I think that’s really all I do. I don’t excel well in school nor am I a people person. So it's hard waking up and going to school knowing that you have to interact with people. No matter how much I try to be near people the more I want to stay away from them and when it comes to things like this like getting into groups to make a film can be daunting. It also gets pretty stressful and I’m trying to cope with it all. I’m learning a lot of things though, which is beneficial if I wanted to pursue a career in film when I grown up. Time management is probably something I need to work on as well. I'm too slow to catch on...the pressure is on when I do group work and it gets really hard. I have chronic anxiety so I often runaway from big responsibilities because it scares the hell out of me.  


We need to work out the kinks again with our film. We are always filming things over again and over again. Maybe if we do it right for once it’ll be perfect and we won’t have to film over and over again. I was really nervous when our film was going to be shown to the class. I haven't seen the film when it was in it’s finished state. For me it was also nerve-wracking but was very keen to see our film and well what do you know Elena did a fantastic job in editing the film and Taryn did a great job with the music. I think overall the Film was pretty awesome. I'm not one to brag but our film was pure ownage jokes! I guess hard work does pay off. Phewww. I think the only thing we could've worked on if we had the chance to do this film all over again was time management. Thats pretty much all. I mean there were edgy moments but we managed to cope as a team and together we all made film we take pride in. 

Well I think the film does it justice but in terms of reflections I don’t think I do have enough evidence to support my work. I find it hard to find time and write about what I just did. Like other work from other subjects aren’t enough already. I get way too tired and I think it’s because my mind is way too slow to catch up with reality. I’m always somewhere else. I’m never where I’m supposed to be. I’m always dreaming of being somewhere else. So people always tell me, they say “where have you been?” or “earth to Z, hello?” I do work hard when needed but I just find it pointless reflecting on my film every week. That doesn’t mean I didn’t write reflections. I did but it’s almost like what I’m writing is repetitive. I think what I’m writing now is good enough. I think a huge essay on the film written by students at the end of every term should suffice.

Okay I don't think anyone knows how creepy it is to search up scary movies and it's posters on the internet. I think this is the perfect poster and film.  Our poster should look like this because to me it's scarier when it's simple especially with a quote. To me looking at that is freaky. Looking at it now gives me the creeps and it's quite disturbing. With just the image, title and quotation it does pass off as down right scary. I think the simplicity of the poster is perfect. I don't think our poster needs the extravagance of other posters because it just gives a creepy vibe without it. When you walk through the hallway to the movie theatre you see tons of posters of tons of movies and most of them are all optimistic and bright whereas this poster just makes you goo woaaah I'm just going to run to the theater now. Everything else is like easy A, Despicable Me blah blah blah blah and then you get before you die you see the ring....and your like okaaaay like people want to think about death and it leaves them with disturbance and curiosity of the film and therfore makes them wanting to watch it. It's dark, eerie and disturbing. All these elements match to our film. So we're going to give our film poster the ring-esque touch. 

Internet...blogging...facebook...

I did have a journal and wrote stuff on there but since I couldn't sit down and write a journal...wait...it's hard enough writing on a blog but I had to make a blog whether I like it or not. Well you see The internet and I share a love hate relationship along with other stuff that I share relationships with.  I don't really like social networks. I don't really like cellphones either...I don't know maybe it's because I'm an anti social piece of @!#$% / introverted freak who can't even text people and get along with them or stand along side with them. So I had to make a blog for creative media...two words...hate it. I can seriously relate to Stan from that facebook episode from Southpark. Just some random commentary. Stan is awesome and I wish I had cool, funny friends like Stan but I'm a loner who just can't be with people. I have a friend named Katie and words cannot express how beautiful of a person she is. cheeeeezzzzzy  Yet I didn't properly explain why I made a blog...ugh I can't be bothered to type anything anymore.
